I've joined a "steering committee" in our town that is tasked with making the community a better place to live.  We're working to have the town build a community garden and make it freely available for anyone here to use.  We're also looking at working with the local gov't to change the town ordinances to allow for a few hens to be raised on property inside of the town limits.
